Last week, our Assistant Civil Engineer, Oliver Goody, had the fantastic opportunity to travel to Latvia with fellow UWE students to present his university dissertation to industry professionals at the Ratsif TSI Conference. This conference brings together young researchers from TSI University and other institutions who share multidisciplinary scientific interests across technical, economic and social fields. Its aim is to encourage collaboration, spark new ideas and support breakthrough research that addresses both current and future challenges.
Here’s what Oliver had to say about the experience:
“It was inspiring to see projects ranging from AI applications to generateing electricity from human waste, alongside a tour of TSI University’s engineering facilities. Sharing my research and discussing real-world AI solutions with other engineers made it a fantastic experience, and I’m excited to continue this journey in engineering and research.”
Oliver started his journey with JRC as a Civil Engineering Apprentice, and we are incredibly proud to see how far he has come through his hard work and dedication.
